Tiny Habit Privacy Policy

Welcome to Tiny Habit (the "App"). The App is developed and maintained independently by the developer of Tiny Habit ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the App.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before using the App. By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy in full.

1. Important: Your Habits Stay on Your Device

Tiny Habit is private by design. No account is required. Habit names, schedules, icons, check-ins, notes, postcards, stamps, and settings are stored in a local database on your device. We cannot access, view, or retrieve this content.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

Tiny Habit does not collect, upload, store, or share:

Your habit names, schedules, icons, or settings
Your check-in records, streaks, or notes
Your postcards, stamps, or travel companion choice
Your name, email address, or phone number
Your location, contacts, photos, or files

The App has no ads and does not include any advertising SDK. Habit content never leaves your device through any service we operate.

3. How the App Works

Local storage: All habit data is saved in SQLite on your device. The App works fully offline, except for purchases (section 5).
Device backup: If you enable iCloud Backup or Android backup, the operating system may include the App's local files in your device backup. We cannot access that backup.
Reminders: Habit reminders use local notifications scheduled on your device. They do not require a network connection.
Sharing a postcard: When you tap Share, the App creates an image on your device and hands it to the share sheet you choose. The App itself uploads nothing.

4. Anonymous Diagnostics We Collect

To keep the App stable, we use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. These services may collect anonymous, aggregated data such as:

Anonymous screen views and app events (for example, that a postcard was revealed or the upgrade screen was shown)
Crash reports for diagnosing technical issues
A random installation identifier that is not linked to your identity or habit content

This data is used only to fix bugs and improve the App. It is never sold, never used for advertising, and never includes your habit names, check-ins, or notes. You can turn it off at any time in Settings > Share anonymous usage data. Firebase is operated by Google; see the Firebase Privacy Policy.

5. Purchases (Tiny Habit Pro)

Tiny Habit Pro is an optional subscription (monthly or yearly) or a one-time lifetime purchase. Payments are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store; we never see your card or payment details.

The App asks the store on your device whether your account owns Pro, to unlock it and to restore purchases. Purchase records are kept by Google or Apple under their own privacy policies; the App does not send them to us or to any other service. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Google Play or App Store account settings.

6. Permissions

Notifications: used for habit reminders. You can deny this permission; the rest of the App still works.
Vibration: optional haptic feedback when you check in, if you leave it enabled in Settings.
Internet: used only for anonymous diagnostics (section 4) and purchases (section 5).

The App does not request camera, microphone, location, contacts, or photo library access.

7. Third-Party Services

Google Firebase (Analytics and Crashlytics), as described in section 4
Google Play Billing and the Apple App Store, for payments

The App does not include advertising SDKs.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Habit content is stored only on the device.

9. Your Rights

Control: you can create, edit, archive, or delete habits and notes in the App at any time.
Delete everything: uninstalling the App removes locally stored habit data. No copy remains on our servers because it was never sent there.
Diagnostics: to ask for deletion of the diagnostics Firebase holds for your installation, email us. Purchase records are managed in your Google Play or App Store account.
Withdraw consent: turn off anonymous usage data in Settings, or stop using the App and uninstall it at any time.

10. Policy Updates

We may update this Policy when required by law or when features change. The updated version will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, noted in the App. Continued use after a material update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
