Lens Due Privacy Policy

Welcome to Lens Due (the "App"). The App is developed and maintained independently by the developer of Lens Due ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the App.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before using the App. By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy in full.

This app is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Follow the eye-care professional and lens manufacturer.

1. Important: Your Lens Data Stays on Your Device

Lens Due is local-only. No account is required. Per-eye schedules, optional stock counts, replacement history, reminder settings, and widget data are stored on your device. We do not operate a cloud backend for this App, and we cannot access, view, or retrieve this content.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

In version 0.2.0, Lens Due does not collect, upload, store, or share:

Your per-eye schedules, notes, stock counts, or replacement history
Your name, email address, phone number, or payment details
Your location, contacts, photos, or files
Health Connect data
Advertising identifiers, or usage analytics sent off the device

The App has no ads, no in-app purchases, and no Firebase or other analytics SDKs in the shipped 0.2.0 feature set. Lens data never leaves your device through any service we operate.

3. How the App Works

Local storage: Schedules, optional stock, replacement history, and settings are saved in a local database and settings store on your device (Room / DataStore). The App works without an account.
Reminders: Due reminders (including the time of day and an optional day-before reminder) are scheduled locally on your device. They do not require a network connection or a server we operate.
Home-screen widget: The Glance widget reads the same on-device data to show due information. It does not send that data to us.
Device backup: If you enable Android backup, the operating system may include the App's local files in your device backup. We cannot access that backup. We do not operate a sync service for this App in version 0.2.0.

4. Permissions

The App may request or declare the following Android permissions, used only for on-device due reminders:

Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): to show local due-date reminders. You can deny this permission; other on-device features still work, but reminders will not appear.
Boot completed (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED): to reschedule reminders after the device restarts.
Exact alarms (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM): to fire reminders at the time you chose, where the system allows it.

These permissions are not used to collect your data onto our servers. The App does not request camera, microphone, location, contacts, or photo library access, and it does not use Health Connect.

5. Third-Party Services

Version 0.2.0 does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, Health Connect, or cloud-backend SDKs. There is no service we operate that receives your lens schedules.

If a later version adds analytics, ads, accounts, or cloud features, we will update this Policy and the Google Play Data safety section before those features ship.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Lens data is stored only on the device.

7. Your Rights

Control: you can create, edit, or delete per-eye schedules, stock counts, and replacement history in the App at any time.
Delete everything: clearing App data or uninstalling the App removes locally stored information. No copy remains on our servers because it was never sent there. There is no cloud account to delete with us for this App version.
Withdraw consent: stop using the App and uninstall it at any time.

8. Security

We design the App so lens data remains on-device. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Protect your device with a screen lock and operating-system updates.

9. Policy Updates

We may update this Policy when required by law or when features change. The updated version will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, noted in the App. Continued use after a material update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
